The northeastern coast of Culebra island is home to Playa Zoní – a long strip of powdery white sand beach that gives new meaning to the word ‘paradise’.
Due to its large size, Zoní is never crowded and gives visitors the space and freedom to truly enjoy this heavenly stretch of land. The nearby Cayo Norte and the Nature Reserve of Culebrita Island – with its centuries old lighthouse – frame incredible views of the expansive ocean. On a clear day, the island of Saint Thomas is visible in the distance.
The beach also serves as grounds for turtle nesting. Great care is taken to minimize human impact so that these majestic creatures of the sea can continue their natural cycle without disturbances.
Though not as frequented as the more famous Playa Flamenco, Playa Zoní is ideal for visitors in search of alternative spots.
