Description:

Billed as the largest convention center in the Caribbean, and the most technologically advanced in all of Latin America, the Puerto Rico Convention Center is a world-class facility located in the heart of San Juan.

The structure’s distinctive design – visible for miles around the San Juan Bay – evokes the ocean’s waves, a motif repeated throughout its interiors. With over 550,000 square feet of space, the building can hold up to 25,000 people in various exhibit halls.

The facility’s central location – between the neighborhoods of Miramar, Condado and Old San Juan – has spurred the creation of a convention district in the area. Ficus Café is an open-air restaurant that has also become a popular nightlife spot. The recently completed hotel will serve as a tourism hub, while walkways, shops and both residential and commercial spaces are currently in development.

With easy access to the Isla Grande Airport, the Port of San Juan and major roadways, the Puerto Rico Convention Center is a booming example of modern development.
