Located in the heart of the Hato Rey financial district in the capital city of San Juan, the Puerto Rico Coliseum is the Caribbean’s largest indoor arena. With a maximum capacity of 18,000 spectators, the imposing structure stands as one of the island’s more modern buildings.

This state-of-the-art facility opened its doors in 2004 and is named in honor of one of Puerto Rico’s most beloved comedians, José Miguel Agrelot. Due to its versatility, El Choliseo – as the arena is affectionately called – has hosted a wide variety of events, from sporting competitions to performances by some of the biggest musical acts in the world.

The structure’s high-end amenities, strategic location, and accessibility through the Tren Urbano metro system has made the coliseum a frequented spot, with over 3 million spectators having passed through its turnstiles to this day.
