Parque Lineal Enrique Martí Coll San Juan, PR
" elevated boardwalk and exercise path stretching for one-and-a-half miles and offering interesting views into nature."

Known to residents of San Juan as the “paseo lineal,” this elevated boardwalk and exercise path stretches for one-and-a-half miles offering interesting views into nature and back to the city. It connects the Acua Expreso Hato Rey ferry terminal with the municipality’s Central Park.

The boardwalk follows the Martín Peña Canal – a shallow, narrow, three-mile-long channel surrounded by mangrove swamps that runs through the heart of the city as part of the San Juan Bay Estuary. The combination of both seawater and freshwater result in high nutrient levels that make the area hospitable to a rich variety of species, and thus, a valuable addition to our ecosystem. It is home to the highest concentration of indigenous and migratory birds on the entire island.

Providing an unique urban experience to visitors and residents alike, the Parque Lineal Enrique Martí Coll is perfect for cyclists, joggers, and bird watchers alike – or those simply looking to commune with nature without leaving the city behind.
